Lutherans Engaged in Mission, along with Zion and Messiah Lutheran Churches, have scheduled a mission trip to Kids’ Kingdom orphanage in Imuris, Sonora, Mexico from Saturday, October 19 thru Saturday the 26th. \Ve will be flying out of Bismarck to Mesa where we will be picked up to head down to the orphanage. Come and join us as we share the love of Christ with the children and staff at the orphanage. Through our interactions & special activities we hope to create happy childhood memories for the children. We strive to make their living environment more safe, secure and comfortable through our work projects and share the love of Christ in all that we say and do.

Some of the activities we are considering for this trip include: distributing food baskets and Bibles to widows, single moms and families in crisis, and a pizza party for the children and staff assisting with Kids’ Club (think mini-VBS). Also a variety of work projects which might include: replacing lights, sockets & switches, various plumbing repairs (fixing leaky faucets and non-functioning toilets, etc.) and more than likely, some painting. The cost is $400 per person and includes your airfare, transportation, lodging, travel insurance & most of the meals.
